01 — How it works

You decide how much, for whom and when

Three steps. A second for your guest, a few clicks for you.

Give charging away, sell it as a prepaid card, or charge for it. The steps are the same — only the rule changes.

  1. 01

    Set the rule

How many kilowatt-hours or euros, who they belong to, when they apply, and whether the card is single-use or lasts until it's spent.

  2. 02

    Assign it to a card

A gift card you issue, a prepaid card you sell, or the room card your guest already carries.

  3. 03

    The guest taps the card

Charging starts and stops at the limit you set. No app, no sign-up.

A discount is spent on the spot. Kilowatt-hours bring people back.

In a restaurant it's the bill that earns kilowatt-hours. In a hotel it's the room card. In retail it's a campaign card.

02 — Who it's for

For hospitality venues that care whether the guest leaves happy

If you have a car park, attract guests who drive electric. A charger can be more than selling energy.

Most common

Hotels and resorts

The guest charges with the card that opens their room.

  • Kilowatt-hours with a stay or a direct booking
  • A limit per stay, per day or per period
  • Reception assigns kilowatt-hours in a few clicks

Campsites and apartments

Charging as part of the stay, with a clear ceiling.

  • One card per pitch or apartment
  • A daily limit keeps the cost predictable
  • Charging for guests only, or for the public too

Restaurants and cafés

Turn a one-off visit into a habit.

  • Rewards tied to the size of the bill
  • A gift card with larger orders
  • A reason to return the place next door can't match

Retail and shopping centres

While the car charges, the customer is with you.

  • Kilowatt-hours based on spend
  • Prepaid cards for campaigns and promotions
  • Longer visits, bigger baskets

03 — Gift and prepaid cards

A card your guest can hold

A gift card is a physical RFID card. Assign a value in the system and hand it out — no app required.

  • In a hotel, the card that opens the room works too — the hotel reads its UID and assigns kilowatt-hours to it
  • Set the value in kilowatt-hours or euros and change it whenever you like
  • A card can be single-use, or last until the balance is spent

How to issue a card

Cards carry no printed amount. A euro balance is credit for charging at your charger, not a means of payment.

Hotel cards are not all alike — try yours on your own charger and you'll see.

01

Issued by you

No middleman, no waiting.

02

Sold as prepaid

Put 100 kWh or €100 on a card and sell it.

03

Your branding

Cards can carry your venue's logo.

Want something physical to hand your guest? Give out an RFID card with kilowatt-hours alongside the bill — it works without the app.

04 — Rules and oversight

The cost stays where you put it

For every card and every user you set who the charging belongs to, how much there is, and when it applies. It runs in the browser — nothing to install.

01

Who

A rule attaches to a single RFID card or to a user.

02

How much

In kilowatt-hours or euros, with a daily, monthly or yearly limit.

03

When

The window in which charging is allowed, from and to.

Users and cards

Issue, activate and review every gift and prepaid card.

Pricing and billing

Price per kilowatt-hour and reward rules — yours to change.

A charger can serve only your guests, only the public, or both at different prices.

05 — Guest app

The app earns it. The card spends it.

Each guest has their own barcode in the app. Your server scans it at the till and the bill turns into kilowatt-hours. The app also shows the balance and a map of chargers.

  • 01 Barcode at the till The guest shows their own code, your server scans it, and the bill becomes kilowatt-hours.
  • 02 Kilowatt-hour balance Guests always see what they've earned and where they can spend it.
  • 03 Charger map Your charger is on the map — including for people who don't know you yet.

An RFID card carries the value you assign to it, but it doesn't earn — the barcode a guest earns with exists only in the app.

07 — FAQ

What people ask us most

Do I need to buy a new charger?

No, as long as yours supports OCPP 1.6J — and most recent commercial models do. Send us the make and model and we'll check before you commit to anything.

Does it work with the room cards we already use?

As a rule, yes. The hotel reads the card's UID with its own reader, enters it in the system and assigns kilowatt-hours to it. Cards differ by technology, so try yours on your own charger and you'll see.

Can we charge for charging instead of giving it away?

Yes. You can give charging away, sell it as a prepaid card, or charge per kilowatt-hour — and combine all three on the same charger.

Who decides how many kilowatt-hours I give away?

You do. Rules and values are yours to set and change at any time — by bill size, by stay, by campaign, or per guest.

What happens when a guest checks out?

Reception switches the card off in the system. It's a manual step, a few clicks.

Do guests have to download an app?

Not for charging: a gift, prepaid or room card is simply tapped on the charger. But collecting kilowatt-hours from a bill needs the app — the barcode your server scans lives in there.

Does anything change at the till?

Scanning the barcode is a separate step and doesn't touch how you take payment today.

Does it work across several locations?

Yes. Multiple chargers and venues run under one account, with separate reporting.

Can I open the charger to the public as well?

Yes. It can serve only your guests, only the public, or both at different prices.

What is OCPP, exactly?

An open standard chargers and management systems use to talk to each other. It's why you can change the charger and keep the system — or the other way round.

What does it cost?

The free trial runs for up to six months — no contract and no card up front. After that the price depends on how many chargers you run and how you use the platform; get in touch and we'll send you a concrete quote.
